Just wondering if there's any bandwidth control features in Vista to limit bandwidth to a machine on the network? If there's not, I really do think it's a feature that needs to be implemented. Alot of people share their internet with others on a network and like myself, need to limit the bandwidth.
Thanks.

Any bandwidth control?
Yes, Open Network > Network Center > Manager Network Connects (left pane) > right click your ethernet connection > click "Properties" > click "Configure" > Advanced (tab) > under "Property" select "Link Speed & Duplex" > click in the Value: list box, there should be options for changing it to an appropriate speed. -- Andre Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta "Marauder" wrote in message

Hi. Thanks, but that's not the type I meant. Currently on my gateway machine (XP) I use 'Bandwidth Controller' app to limit send data to my mum and dad's machine to 10k. That's the type of bandwidth controlling I'm after.

Nope, but it has been suggested. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta
